Junior Software Engineer

Rigor is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to help us build the web performance platform for the next generation of web applications. As an engineer at Rigor, you will work with the team to develop solutions for high-priority, customer-facing technical issues.

Ideally, you:

  • Have experience building and scaling complex web applications
  • Have been exposed to a MVC web framework, such as Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, Django, or ASP.NET MVC
  • Are comfortable working in Linux environments
  • Are passionate about user experience
  • Understand the value of testing and continuous integration
  • Are comfortable with Git and GitHub
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Our tech stack:

  • Application: Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET MVC, jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS, Selenium
  • Database: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, InfluxDB
  • Automation: Docker, Puppet, Chef, Capistrano, Packer
  • Infrastructure: AWS-backed (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, OpsWorks, CloudWatch, Route53), OpenStack

A typical day at Rigor will involve:

  • Whiteboarding, estimating, and designing new features
  • Doing code reviews and submitting pull requests
  • Supporting sales and client success teams
  • Tinkering with new and interesting technologies
